Join caricature artist Hwee Hong for an engaging introduction to the art of caricature drawing.
About this Event

Through live demonstrations, guided practice and hands-on exercises, participants will discover how artists use observation, exaggeration and visual storytelling to create portraits that are both recognisable and full of character.

Participants will learn to identify distinctive facial features, expressions and mannerisms, and explore how these can be creatively exaggerated to capture a person's personality in a fun and expressive way. Along the way, Hwee Hong will share techniques for simplifying facial forms, developing confidence in sketching, and balancing humour with likeness - key elements that make a successful caricature.

Suitable for beginners and aspiring artists alike, this workshop encourages participants to look beyond exact representation and develop a more playful approach to drawing.

By the end of the session, participants will have completed their own caricature portraits and gained a deeper appreciation for the creativity, observation and storytelling behind this popular art form.

Workshop fee includes:
- All materials provided
- A take home caricature of yourself by Hwee Hong

Workshop duration:
60mins
