5th National Biennial Juried Exhibition
A line is the most basic visual element - a dot taking a walk (Paul Klee.) It defines shapes, implies movement, and creates structure. But beyond the visual arts, a line separates, connects, measures, and marks.
The Gainesville Fine Arts Association invites artists to submit work for Line By Line, an all-medium exhibition exploring the multifaceted interpretations of the word “line.” We encourage artists to interpret “line” broadly.
TIMELINE:
July 1 - Submissions due
July 15 - Notifications to artists
August 14 - 21 - Artists ship work to us
August 21 - ALL WORK must have arrived by this date
Exhibition dates: August 26 – October 23
Artwalk Reception: August 28, 7 - 10
2nd Artwalk: September 25, 7 - 10
Artist Meetup: September 10, 7 - 8:30
AWARDS: $3000 total in award money
One $1000 Best In Show award
Four $500 Award of Excellence awards
