Art & Rhythm Camp is back!
Summer is almost here! I am excited to announce that we are coming back for our 4th year to share with the Gainesville community our week long Art and Music experience!
This is a unique opportunity for your children to learn West African drum, dance and Guinea culture and be immersed in Art and creativity all around for this one week in July!
July 27 to 31 - 9 to 2pm
(We added an extra hour each day this year!)
Five days of music and art immersion in a small, nurturing group — guided by visual artist Mariana Oppel and Master Percussionist Aboubacar Sylla, from Guinea, West Africa, two professional artists who bring their full hearts to this work.
At the end of the week, families are invited to join us for a special Friday evening gathering, a presentation and art exhibition, featuring a live performance by Aboubacar Sylla alongside the children. It’s a joyful celebration of everything they’ve created and learned during camp!
