Breakthrough: A Convergence on Mental Health
About this Event
How do the experiences we have in childhood shape our health for the rest of our lives?
Join Southeast Technical College for Breakthrough: A Convergence on Mental Health, a free community event featuring internationally recognized physician, researcher, author, and public health leader Dr. Nadine Burke Harris.
Supported by Seed for Success Foundation, Breakthrough brings nationally recognized experts to Sioux Falls to advance conversations around mental health, trauma-informed care, prevention, and resilience.
As California's first Surgeon General, Dr. Burke-Harris has helped transform how healthcare professionals and communities understand the lifelong impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and the science of healing. During this engaging keynote, she'll explore how adversity shapes lifelong health outcomes and how we can build healthier, more resilient communities together.
