A Special Evening with Billy Mills & Robby Benson
About this Event
Celebrate one of South Dakota’s greatest heroes at TRIO Jazz Club to dive into the powerful true story of Billy Mills: the Oglala Lakota runner from the Pine Ridge Reservation who shocked the world by winning Olympic gold in the 10,000‑meter race.
Billy's feat inspired the film 'Running Brave' with actor Robby Benson portraying him onscreen. Enjoy an intimate Q&A conversation with Billy Mills (1964 Olympic Champion, advocate for Indigenous youth, and one of the most celebrated Native American athletes in history) AND Robby Benson (star of Running Brave).
Tickets for this event are limited and will be sold exclusively through the Trio Jazz Club website.
Billy’s appearance is proudly supported by Native Nations Cannabis. Thank you to our other special event partners: Trio Jazz Club and South Dakota Arts Council. South Dakota Arts Council support is provided with funds from the State of South Dakota, through the Department of Tourism, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
