About this Event
People pleasing is often framed as being nice or selfless, but it is more often a learned strategy for staying safe, avoiding conflict, or maintaining connection. This workshop explores how people pleasing shows up in everyday relationships, how it quietly erodes consent and boundaries, and why it can lead to resentment, burnout, and disconnection.
Participants will learn to recognize common people pleasing patterns, understand where they come from, and practice consent based communication that honors both self and others. The focus is not on becoming confrontational or rigid, but on building clarity, choice, and relational safety through healthier boundaries.
By the end of the workshop, participants will have practical tools for noticing when they are overriding themselves, pausing before automatic yes responses, and communicating needs in ways that are grounded, respectful, and sustainable.
