Catering to a wide range of skill levels from learning to pedal all the way through advanced biking, Pedal Kids Bike Camp is a unique biking adventure for ALL riders ages 5-12.How Our Camp Works:
Sign Up and choose your child’s ability level.
At the start of day 1, our expert coaches sort kids into riding groups taking into consideration both age & ability level.
Riding groups are flexible during the week, allowing kids to switch as they progress.
Ability Levels offered in this Camp:
Level 0 - (Never ridden a bike before) Walking over a bike without pedals without putting weight on the seat or gliding (Ages 5-10)
Level 1 - (Balance bikers) Gliding on a bike without pedals with weight on the seat (Ages 5-10)
Level 2 - (New pedalers) Able to start pedaling independently without the aid of training wheels and maintain balance and control (Ages 5-12)
Level 3 - (Adept riders) Able to stand and pedal, stand and coast, and ride up and down hills with confidence and ride for up to 5 miles at a time (Ages 5-12)

Equipment Requirements:
Properly fitting bicycle in good working order*
A bike in safe working condition should have:
Proper tire inflation (tires feel firm when you press with your thumb)
Brakes that stop the wheels when squeezed—test both front and rear
A tight seat and handlebars (nothing should wiggle or spin easily)
Chain that moves smoothly with no rust or tight spots
Pedals and cranks that spin freely without grinding or wobbling
A properly fitted helmet*
Small backpack with proper retention straps (no string backpacks)*
A way to carry water (water bottle or hydration backpack)*
Personal snacks!
Note:
Level 3 riders will need at least a 20" wheel bike with gears

Bike Skills + Life Skills Curriculum:
Throughout the camp, kids will progress their bike skills while also developing vital life skills like self-confidence and resilience. Alongside on-the-bike adventures, campers participate in super fun off-the-bike games to keep their enthusiasm soaring. The grand finale is our all-camp bike parade where every child proudly showcases their newfound skills. This camp is an extraordinary way to ignite a lifelong passion for biking while nurturing essential Social Emotional Learning (SEL) skills.

Whether your child is currently riding a balance bike or is ready to ditch the training wheels, this camp is for them! In our Learn to Pedal groups, young riders embark on an exhilarating journey, discovering the pure joy of cycling without the tears and frustration. Our campers thrive in a safe and supportive environment within our "Bicycle Playground," equipped with proprietary Learn to Pedal safe ramps and other unique obstacles that make learning easy and fun.
... Want to Progress their Riding Skills
Campers will become pedal pros by mastering skills like braking, gear shifting, standing and riding, safe group riding, safe street skills and conquering new terrain based on their ability level. With a mix of on-the-bike and off-the-bike activities, they enhance their biking prowess, and safety checks, and enjoy bike-themed games and crafts while forging lasting friendships.
