Boro Inspired Patch Repair Workshop

Join textile artist Deborah Manson for a winter workshop at the beautiful Sideline Studio in Lewes, where you'll discover the timeless art of patchwork repair, inspired by Japanese Boro mending.

In this hands-on session, you’ll learn the basics of hand stitching to creatively mend holes and tears using appliqué techniques and traditional Japanese sashiko threads. You'll have the opportunity to work with a selection of Deborah's naturally dyed fabrics to create a unique patch repair sample.

By the end of the workshop, you'll have gained valuable skills that you can apply to your own mending projects at home, keeping your favorite items in use for years to come.
