Will Duke (anglo concertina, voice) Liz Evans (fiddle) Jonathan Burrows (melodeons) & Peter Rogan (bassoon, melodeons) play dance tunes & songs from the repertoire of Sussex source musician Scan Tester & others. Will plays Scan’s own concertina.
The Scan Tester Fan Club will give us two forty-five minute spots & the rest of the evening is filled by members of the audience doing a song or tune if they wish.
Everyone is welcome, especially if you'd like to sing or play. We mostly sing and play traditional music from the British Isles, but we enjoy other styles as well. We always start off with some English dance tunes for anyone with an instrument to join in.
We have a loyalty card. Six visits earn you £5 off an evening when admission is £5 or more. It's £10 cash tonight.
Access is by a staircase with handrails on each side. Assistance dogs only, please. We're in the Lewes Arms, Mount Place, Lewes BN7 1YH tonight as the Elephant & Castle's function room is being redecorated in March.
