Beginner Breads: Mastering Yeasted Doughs
Ready to unlock the magic of baking with yeast? In this hands-on class, we’ll take the mystery out of homemade bread and give you the confidence to bake soft, flavorful loaves from scratch.
You’ll learn the foundations of working with yeasted doughs—from understanding how yeast works to mixing, kneading, proofing, and shaping. Together, we’ll create three classic, approachable breads:
Potato Pan de Mie– an incredibly soft, tender sandwich loaf with a delicate crumb
Focaccia– a golden, olive oil–rich flatbread with a crisp edge and airy interior
Buttery Dinner Rolls– pillowy, lightly sweet rolls perfect for any table
Along the way, we’ll cover essential techniques, troubleshooting tips, and how to read your dough so you can successfully recreate these recipes at home.
Whether you’re brand new to bread baking or have had a few flops in the past, this class will set you up for success (and your kitchen will smell amazing).
You’ll leave with:
Freshly baked bread, recipes, and the confidence to start baking your own yeasted breads at home
