This September, I'm organizing a small group trip to a backcountry lodge perched at 7,200 feet in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. We'll have the entire lodge to ourselves!
The trip kicks off Thursday, September 17 in Calgary, where we board a private shuttle and spend the day driving through Banff and Yoho National Parks with hand-picked stops along the way.
That evening we have a welcome dinner together in Golden before an early morning helicopter flight into the lodge on Friday.
From there, every day is spent out in the mountains with ACMG-certified guides on terrain you simply can't reach from a regular trailhead.
The guides split the group based on pace and ability, so whether you want a mellow day or a big push to a summit, there's an option for you. We come back each afternoon to fresh appetizers on the veranda, the wood-burning sauna, a three-course gourmet dinner, and good conversation around the fireplace.
The price is fully all-inclusive from the moment we meet in Calgary, including accomodations, helicopter transport, all meals, guided hikes, ground transportation, park entrance fees, and a commemorative photo book after the trip.
