Accessible Yoga

Join Michelle from Joyful Roots Yoga in a gentle, low-impact accessible yoga practice designed to help build strength, improve flexibility and mobility, and enhance mental well-being. All classes are accessible, meaning students can either use a chair for added support and stability, a mat, or a combination of both. During class participants will move through gentle stretching to release tension, increase range of motion and promote healthy joint mobility, as well as guided breathing techniques and mindful relaxation to help reduce stress. The instructor will bring any additional yoga props that may be needed, but students are welcome to bring anything that they feel will help support their yoga practice (e.g. a blanket, pillow, yoga block, etc.). Please bring a yoga mat, a limited number of yoga mats will be available to borrow. This class is for all levels and ages – beginner friendly with chair and mat options available. Please sign the liability form and Par-Q form prior to class. Students can either email them to Michelle at [email protected] or bring a copy with them to class.
