We are reading Thoughtload by Liane Davey
Also we will be having a Q/A with Liane Davey the next day on the Monday to discuss her book.
Quick summary: Thoughtload, not workload, is the real culprit behind burnout and declining team performance. Davey argues the problem isn't oversized workloads; it's the excessive thoughtload: the cumulative, often overwhelming burden of rising cognitive and emotional demands, made worse by shrinking physical and mental energy.
Things you need to know:
-You will need to get the book yourself. Yes audiobook counts as well. If you want a physical copy to own please purchase local from Book Warehouse and tell them its for a book club you will get 10% off.
-There is no pressure if you havent read the whole book please join. Getting to know others and hear from different perspectives is what its about. Steph will send out the questions a few days prior so you have an opportunity to review. However, no pressure. I will do a recap at the start of the session.
