The 2026 Back 2 School Festival will be held on Saturday, August 8 at Watauga High School.
The Back 2 School Festival is for Watauga County families that are struggling to meet the high cost of back-to-school supplies. We will be distributing backpacks, shoes, pencils, notebooks, crayons, erasers, highlighters, earbuds, headphones—everything your child needs to start the school year off confident and prepared. 🖍️✂️🎒👟
Students and their families can come pick up supplies at their school's assigned times:
9:00 AM – Green Valley, Bethel, Parkway
10:15 AM – Valle Crucis, Mabel, Blowing Rock, Two Rivers
Noon – Hardin Park
1:00 PM – Cove Creek, Homeschoolers
* High school students attend during your school district's time slot.
* Homeschoolers must be part of a registered active homeschool in Watauga County.
* Haircuts will not be provided at the festival this year. As a 100% volunteer-driven organization, we are so grateful to the stylists who have donated their time and talent in years past and look forward to continuing to support our students in other meaningful ways.
* Students must be physically present at the festival in order to receive shoes.
