Author talk: Karen Brooks at Hobart Library
About this Event
A morning with bestselling author Karen Brooks, discussing The Extraordinary Florence Stoker, a historical novel about a woman often overlooked in literary history.
Join us at Hobart Library to hear Karen talk about Florence Stoker, a striking and talented woman from the 19th century. Though she had many strengths, her life was overshadowed by her husband’s famous creation, Dracula. This novel brings her story back into focus.
Karen will discuss her research, her writing process, and why it is important to tell women’s stories from the past. This engaging event will appeal to readers who enjoy strong characters and fresh views of history.
