August Taste of History: The Art of Architectural Moldings with Kista Mansell
Through this lens, we’ll take a closer look at the remarkable and richly detailed moldings preserved throughout Körner’s Folly, where Jule Körner’s decorative artistry transforms everyday spaces into immersive works of art.
This program will be led by Kista Mansell, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Interior Architecture at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, who also serves as Historic Preservation Programs Coordinator and Director of the Main Street Fellows program. Her expertise in preservation and architectural history offers a unique perspective on the craftsmanship and cultural significance of these enduring design elements as seen inside Körner’s Folly. Come to discover how even the smallest details can tell powerful stories about the past.
The Taste of History program is held in the Community Room of the John & Bobbie Wolfe Visitor Center. Program Admission is free and includes light refreshments. No pre-registration is required.
