September Taste of History: Revolution in the Piedmont: NC Military History with CJ Idol
Join us for this Taste of History program, led by archeologist and historian CJ Idol, as we explore the movements, decisions, and consequences of these critical events, and examine how this region played a decisive role in the ultimate success of the American Revolution. As part of the America 250 commemoration, this program offers a deeper understanding of the local impact of a global struggle for independence.
This is Part I of a two-part series. Part II will continue the story by exploring why George Washington visited the area and the significance of his 1791 Southern Tour in shaping the early identity of the new nation.
Presented in partnership with the Kernersville Historic Preservation Society, this program invites you to discover how the Piedmont became a turning point in American history.
The Taste of History program is held in the Community Room of the John & Bobbie Wolfe Visitor Center. Program Admission is free and includes light refreshments. No pre-registration is required.
