Date Night at Tailrace
Sometimes the hardest part of a date night isn't finding the time—it's finding someone to look after the kids.
That's why we created Date Night.
It's an evening designed especially for families. Dinner is served early, the children are happily playing next door in Kids Paradise, and everyone around you understands what life with little people is like.
Whether your family lives far from grandparents, you've recently moved to town, or you simply don't have someone you can call to babysit, this evening creates space to reconnect without the stress.
It's a chance to enjoy a conversation from beginning to end.
To eat a meal while it's still hot.
To remember what it's like to simply be together.
The Menu
Choose one main:
Grilled Tasmanian Ribeye Steak
Café de Paris butter, confit potatoes and jus
or
Braised Lamb Shoulder
Wrapped in prosciutto, served with skordalia and jus
Both mains are served with a shared bowl of steamed beans, broccoli and bok choy.
Dessert
Warm chocolate pudding with chocolate sauce, pistachio praline and vanilla bean ice cream.
How It Works
Arrive and check your children into Kids Paradise.
Our Tailrace Community volunteer team will care for them while they enjoy playtime.
Head next door to Jude's Café and enjoy your meal together.
When you've finished, simply collect your children.
If your child needs you at any point during the evening, one of our team will come and let you know.
Childcare is provided by our wonderful Tailrace Community volunteers in Kids Paradise.
