About the Play
Accomplice is a witty, fast-paced thriller filled with twists, deception, and dark comedy. The show requires quick timing, strong character work, and actors who enjoy playing with suspense and surprise. The less the audience sees coming, the better.
Casting 4 adult roles, all requiring sharp comedic instincts, strong stage presence, and versatility. (Ages listed are playing ages, not required actor ages.)
Derek (30s–50s): Charming, confident, sly. A smooth talker with a calculating streak.
Janet (30s–50s): Intelligent, elegant, and capable of matching wits with anyone.
Jonas (30s–50s): Somewhat eccentric, playful, and unpredictable.
Melinda (30s–50s): Witty, resourceful, and quick on her feet. This role includes a scene with top nudity, facing away from the audience.
Note: This production involves physical comedy and moments of staged intimacy, including one scene with nudity as mentioned above. All work will be choreographed respectfully with performer comfort in mind.
