Are you hot in that? Blood, sweat and tears in live historic interpretation
About this Event
Tristan will speak about his experience of lived costumed historic interpretation and embodied public histories.
He managed the heritage theatre company Past Pleasures Ltd until 2005, before heading up learning and engagement teams at the National Army Museum (2005-2016), and the Royal Armouries (2016-present). Throughout he has been a practitioner, trainer, manager and champion of live costumed historic interpretation in all its forms, as well as an actor, a performance storyteller, and a long-form improviser. Tristan coordinates the Live Interpretation Network (LINET), which comprises a dozen museums and heritage sites across the UK whose public engagement strategies rely heavily on live interpretation.
