A new era for female entrepreneurship: investment, action & regional growth
About this Event
Venue: The Hospitium, Museum Gardens, York
Date: Thursday 17th September, 2026
Time: 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM (including networking lunch)
Over the past two years, we've taken significant steps to transform how female entrepreneurs are supported across York and North Yorkshire. Informed by the findings of our New Era for Female Entrepreneurship research, businesses, support organisations, investors and policymakers have come together to drive meaningful change, influencing both the support available to founders and the wider regional policy landscape.
Join us to celebrate the conclusion of our New Era for Female Investors in York & North Yorkshire programme, delivered by Lifted Ventures, that equips women with the knowledge, confidence, and networks needed to begin investing in high-potential businesses across the region, including pitches from 3 investment-ready North Yorkshire female founders.
We'll also launch the 10 point plan for female entrepreneurship in York & North Yorkshire - a shared regional action plan to better enable female entrepreneurship in the region, mitigate the barriers raised by the research and make York & North Yorkshire the best place in the country for women to start and grow their business.
