Annual Lantern Walk and Remembrance Ceremony + Lantern Making Workshops
On Friday, November 13 from 5:30–7:00 PM, we’ll gather at the Brattleboro Common on Park Place and begin with a heartfelt Ceremony of Remembrance, then walk together down Main Street, lanterns in hand, lighting the way with the love and memories we hold for those we've lost.
✨ The light we carry is the light of those we carry in our hearts. ✨
Bring a lantern (and a flashlight as the park can be darker than lantern light can brighten), bring a friend, and bring your heart — everyone is welcome to walk, remember, and shine together.
Want to make your own lantern for the event? Lantern making workshops are available on Mondays, October 26, November 2, and Nov. 9, from 5–7 pm in the downstairs room at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church. You can come to one session or all. Open to all ages — kids will love it, and adults will too! Registration Required for the workshops.
For more information or to register for the lantern-making workshop(s), contact Lars Hunter, Bereavement Program Coordinator, 802-257-0775 ext. 104, [email protected].
