A VMN Teaser: Reading the Landscape
Vermont Master Naturalist at BEEC entails a three-weekend course spanning three seasons. Participants will explore diverse natural areas while learning to interpret the processes that make them tick, from soil formation to plant communities.
Bonnyvale naturalist Patti Smith has studied this patch of land for 35 years (the blink of an eye), and will guide you to some of its most interesting spots. Patti has been exploring the 60 acres at the Center for 35 years. During that time, she has taught about its prehistoric origins, glacial history, and the plants and animals that occupy it today.
This class is primarily for those who are Vermont Master Naturalist-curious. If you would like to attend, but will not be signing up to become a Master Naturalist, please wait to register until the week before the event so prospective VMNs have first dibs. Thank you!
