Analog Week | Step Into the Darkroom at PCNW

Curious about the darkroom? Stop by on Wednesday, July 15, from 6 - 7 PM to discover the darkroom at Photographic Center Northwest, led by Facilities Director Macsen Baumann. Explore the darkroom facilities where black-and-white film is developed, then watch a live demonstration of the silver gelatin printing process. Register for free to see the magic of creating photographs by hand!

PCNW is one of the few publicly-accessible photography centers in the Pacific Northwest where photographers can develop their own film and make darkroom prints. Their facilities also include an alternative process lab, gallery, photo studios, a resource library, and two digital labs with printers and film scanners.

Whether you're completely new to the darkroom or simply curious, this is a great opportunity to get familiar with the space, ask questions, and learn about public darkroom access and rates. As a bonus, attendees will receive 10% off our upcoming summer Black & White Photography Workshops.

• - On Thursday, July 16, from 5:30–8:00pm, we’re hosting a Community Open House at Glazer’s—come connect, explore, and celebrate with fellow film lovers. Whether you’re a seasoned film shooter or just getting started, there’s something for everyone.
  
• - A selection of analog images will be unveiled during our Open House for The Shape of Summer gallery exhibition in the Glazer's Camera Gallery.
  Join fellow photographers, friends, family, and members of the film photography community for an evening celebrating the artists and images featured in the exhibition. Meet the photographers, view the work on display, and connect with others who share a passion for analog photography.
