About Speaker

This month, we are excited to welcome Dan White, Director of the Swedish Singers of Seattle and the Club's Facility and Hospitality Manager. Dan will be on hand to share highlights from the choir's recent trip to the American Union of Swedish Singers (A.U.S.S.) National Convention and Grand Concert, held June 24–27 at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota, and may be joined by other choir members. He will also share what the choir has planned for the future. Fingers crossed for a special performance!

About the A.U.S.S.

The American Union of Swedish Singers is dedicated to promoting and preserving Swedish choral singing and increasing appreciation for Swedish music throughout North America. The organization fosters unity and cooperation among Swedish choruses in the United States and Canada while encouraging the continued study and performance of Swedish songs and traditions.

Today, the A.U.S.S. includes 31 choruses located across Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington.

Through its partnership with Sweden's national choral organization, Sveriges Körförbund, the A.U.S.S. helps member choruses discover and perform new Swedish choral works while encouraging cultural and musical exchanges between choruses in North America and Sweden.

All member choruses welcome new singers. If there isn't a chorus in your area, the A.U.S.S. can provide guidance and support to help you start one. Scandinavian-American choruses are also warmly invited to become members and join this vibrant network dedicated to celebrating Swedish music and heritage.
