A BBC Young Jazz Musician of the Year finalist, Rising Star award-winner in the British Jazz Awards, and three-time Parliamentary Jazz Awards nominee, Alex is one of the most in-demand saxophonists on the British jazz scene.
Rooted in the bebop tradition, Alex's powerful, melodic playing draws inspiration from the likes of Phil Woods, Sonny Stitt & Cannonball Adderley. Alex has performed at leading venues and festivals such as Swanage Jazz Festival, Pizza Express Soho and Scarborough Jazz Festival.
Alex's 2025 critically acclaimed recording Out of the Woods features fresh reworkings and original compositions inspired by the distinctive sound of alto saxophonist Phil Woods. This exciting new project showcases Alex's deep connection to the bebop tradition.
