Agile Glos Meetup - 10th September
About this Event
Main Session: Nigel Baker - 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘁, 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗴𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸"
Nigel's spent 20+ years as an Agile Coach, trainer and change consultant, working with organisations like BT, Cisco, Google, Ericsson, ARM and the BBC. He created the Nigel Scale, chaired Scrum Gathering 2011, and helped build the Scrum Alliance's Certified Agile Scaling Practitioner programme.
His talk digs through two decades of Agile history, including his own early days as one of the first ScrumMasters, to ask a genuinely provocative question: what if some of the things we believe about Agile are just wrong?
Expect a look at some left-field alternatives to how we organise work, delivered with high-energy and humour, if you haven't seen Nigel talk it is well worth it!
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆:
• A fresh, slightly rebellious take on where Agile's heading
• Ideas worth taking back to your own team
• A proper laugh (Nigel doesn't do dry)
• New connections with Gloucestershire's Agile community
Afterwards:
We will make space for networking and problem / knowledge sharing.
Note: We intend to take photos during the event. Please speak with James or Mike if you'd prefer not to appear in them or to be tagged in social media posts made to promote this group.
