Acro+Dance+Partnering- A workshop with Nua Dance
18 June | 5:30–7:00pm
Free | Ages 16+ | All bodies & experience welcome
About this Event
Come and join a fun, accessible and interactive workshop exploring dance partnering and acrobatics.
What we love about circus is the exhilaration — that feeling of doing something that seems impossible, and suddenly realising you can.
What we love about dance is its collective power: moving together, becoming aware of our bodies, and sharing a sense of connection and pride.
In this workshop, we bring both together.
We’ll guide you through playful and supportive acro-dance practices, individual and in groups, designed to build trust, confidence and creativity — no prior experience needed.
We’ll also share insights from our latest work,Who Do You Think I Am, which will be performed on 20 June at Llantony Priory as part of THREADS Refugee Day activities. The piece explores how bias shapes the way we perceive migrants, and how social media influences the stories we tell about communities and belonging.
