About this Event
Join the City of Victoria Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC) May 29th from 12 - 3:30 p.m. for a community-led forum in recognition of National Accessibility Awareness Week. This event will highlight accessibility and technological tools within City departments and various community partners.
This free event will bring together community members, accessibility and community partners for tool sharing, technology education and community connection. Doors will open at noon. The program will begin with opening remarks from Sam Turcotte, Executive Lead Accessibility Secretariat, SDPR, then AAC Chair, Suzan Jennings and lastly an impact presentation by the City of Victoria Accessibility Advisory Committee.
Community members will then be invited to freely circulate the room for poster presentations from City departments and community partners on various accessibility tools and success campaigns.
Light refreshments will be provided. Victoria City Hall (Antechamber) is wheelchair accessible. For any other accessibility accommodations, please email [email protected].
