Introduction

Give yourself a real unique and unusual St David’s Day treat! Come along and benefit from Gail Stewart’s latest event designed with your wellbeing in mind! 

In addition to being a popular and sought-after Sound Journey facilitator Gail Stewart is also a retired NHS nurse and has been a Dance of Life - also known as Biodanza - facilitator for 10+ years bringing people together and helping them through the magic of dance movement and music.

This first part of the event will focus on the four elements that form parts of The Dance of Life Medicine. They involve dances that lead us into inner contact with ourselves with others and with nature. Each of the elements Earth Air Fire and Water is already present in us in different forms. They express themselves in our feelings in our motor expression and in our relationships. Earth stands for connection and stability air for our fantasies and dreams fire for the ability to transform and water for our flow in this world.

It is important that the elements within each of us and in our relationships are in balance. For each element there are dances and/or movements to bring them into balance. We will dance them at the event. There is no right or wrong way of doing them! There are no steps to learn and you will be guided throughout! Previous experience is not necessary and people with limited mobility are very welcome.This will be your opportunity to feel and express the four elements through your own unique movements! 

The Sound Journey

The event will be rounded off and complemented by a 15 minute (approximately) Sound Journey. This particular Sound Journey will be a healing musical performance played out through various gongs that produce resounding and entrancing sounds when struck. Participants lie on the floor and allow the waves of sound to flow over embrace and permeate them.

For the Sound Journey ensure that you make yourself comfortable! Ideally please bring something soft supportive and snug to lie on including a head support and also something warm to cover you.

The cost is £10 cash on arrival but advance booking is essential. The cost also includes tea and cake afterwards!
