About this Event

A Different Way to Think About Brain Health

This retreat is for people who want to stay mentally sharp, emotionally flexible, and deeply engaged with life as they age—AND who aren’t interested in fear-based messaging or generic wellness advice.

Grounded in neuropsychology and depth-oriented therapeutic work, the program focuses on how the brain actually functions in real life: attention, memory, emotional processing, creativity, and the stories we tell ourselves about our own capacity. Rather than asking “What’s wrong?”, we ask what supports continued growth, flexibility, and meaning across the lifespan.

Ketamine is used thoughtfully and intentionally—not as a shortcut, but as a tool to support neuroplasticity, insight, and engagement when paired with preparation, education, and integration.

When Cognitive Decline Isn’t the Full Story

Many people notice subtle changes over time—difficulty focusing, feeling less mentally flexible, or a sense of disengagement they can’t quite name. Labels like brain fog or cognitive decline may describe the experience, but they don’t always help people move forward.

What often goes unnoticed is how limiting self-narratives can quietly shape behavior:

  • Pulling back from learning or challenge
  • Avoiding activities that once felt meaningful
  • Doubting one’s ability to adapt or improve

Over time, disengagement itself becomes a barrier to brain health.

This workshop is designed to interrupt that cycle by pairing clear neuropsychological education with experiential work that supports agency, curiosity, and self-efficacy.

Who This Retreat Is Designed For

This retreat may be a strong fit if you:

  • Are interested in maintaining or improving brain health in midlife or later adulthood
  • Are high-functioning but feel less cognitively or emotionally flexible than you used to
  • Are curious about ketamine-assisted work when framed around functional outcomes
  • Want personalized support rather than one-size-fits-all wellness solutions

What Makes This Retreat Different

This is not a wellness retreat, and it’s not focused on symptom management alone. It’s a structured, clinically informed experience that integrates:

  • Neuropsychological education about attention, memory, and processing
  • Emotional and psychological insight tied to real-world functioning
  • Neuroplasticity-focused ketamine-assisted work
  • Meaning-making and self-narrative development
  • Practical strategies to support ongoing engagement with life

Neuropsychological testing is optional to help better understand cognitive functioning and explore change over time—bringing data and clarity into a deeply personal process.

How the Workshop Is Structured

This immersive workshop is designed as a carefully sequenced experience to support meaningful impact within a contained structure.

Before the Workshop

Participants complete the following steps prior to April 25:

  • Individual medical and psychiatric evaluation with Dr. Daniel Zimmerman
  • Optional 30-minute introductory call with Dr. Amanda Sacks-Zimmerman (Fridays only; scheduled via Calendly)
  • Optional preparatory survey to clarify goals and intention

These steps ensure participants arrive grounded, informed, and medically approved for participation.

The In-Person Workshop | April 25, 2026

Over the course of five hours, participants engage in a structured, supportive experience that blends:

  • Neuropsychological education focused on attention, memory, processing, and flexibility
  • Ketamine-assisted therapeutic work designed to support insight, openness, and engagement
  • Guided reflection and meaning-making to connect experience with daily life, relationships, and decision-making

The emphasis throughout is practical and grounded—supporting emotional resilience, cognitive engagement, and real-world application.

After the Workshop

Participants have the option to attend:

  • Optional group integration session the following Friday at 12 PM

This space supports continued processing, integration, and application of insight into daily life.

Goals of the Brain Health Workshop

Participants commonly report:

  • A clearer, more accurate understanding of what “brain health” actually means
  • Increased confidence in their ability to support attention, memory, and emotional flexibility
  • Personalized intentions rooted in function—not abstract self-improvement
  • Greater psychological flexibility and openness regarding self-perception of neurocognitive functioning
  • Practical strategies to support learning, creativity, emotional processing, and engagement

This workshop is about ongoing growth, not maintenance alone.
