About this Event

Welcome to a summer session of 4-H Cloverbuds, a program just for youth aged 5-7 and their parents! An adult must attend with the youth during Cloverbuds to make sure that we have enough helpers and can offer this awesome program to as many youth as possible!

4-H Cloverbuds will meet on Thursday July 2nd, Thursday July 9th, and Thursday July 16th. All three meeting times will start at 4:30 pm. Cloverbuds usually takes 60-90 minutes for the program, with most programs taking an hour total. Each week has a theme:

July 2 --- Fireworks

  • We will learn about chemistry basics and the science behind fireworks
  • We will make a chemical reaction, fireworks in a jar, tie dye fireworks, and more!
  • If you attended Cloverbuds in the spring and already have a tie dye shirt, we will tie dye drawstring bags. But if you are new to Cloverbuds, you will tie dye a shirt that will be screenprinted and given out at the last session

July 9 --- Making Air Work

  • We will learn about air, wind, and the force of air
  • We will make spinning pinwheels, balloon rockets, create blow paintings with straws, and more!

July 16 --- Environmentally Friendly Arts & Crafts

  • We will learn about birds, watch birds, and make bird feeders
  • We will make recycled paper and put seeds in it to make seed cards
  • We will look at vegetables in a new light and print on paper with them

Your $15 registration fee includes the cost of the screenprinted 4-H Cloverbuds t-shirt or drawstring bag.
