Learn the basics of crochet and make a potholder in this fun one-day camp!
About this Event
  • Date: Tuesday, July 28th, 2026
  • Time: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
  • Location: Haywood County Extension Office --- 589 Raccoon Rd. Waynesville
  • Ages: 9-18
  • All materials and snacks included!
  • Everyone will receive a copy of the 4-H Crocheting Handbook and a crochet hook to take home with them!
  • Campers will need to bring a bag lunch (we are a nut-free youth program)


Camp Goals

  1. Learn the basics of crochet (slip knot, chain stitch, single crochet)
  2. Learn the basics of reading a crochet pattern
  3. Make a crocheted potholder as their first project
