MSU Health Care Sports Medicine invites high school coaches, athletic trainers, assistant coaches, athletic directors, and community athletics coaches and directors from across Michigan to a full‑day sports safety training designed to strengthen on‑field emergency response and preparedness. This year’s event will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at East Lansing High School.
Morning Session (AM): First Aid, AED, and CPR Certification/Recertification
Fee: $60 for AM training
Participants will complete a hybrid certification course covering essential first‑aid skills, CPR, and AED use.
Afternoon Session (PM): Emergency Action Planning (EAP)
Fee: Complimentary PM training
The afternoon focuses exclusively on Emergency Action Plan development and implementation, helping school and community athletics programs strengthen their readiness for on‑field injuries and critical incidents.
