📣📣INVITATION - The 15th Romanian Symposium of Palaeontology Cluj-Napoca, September 10-14, 2025📣📣We are honoured to invite you to Cluj-Napoca, one of the centres of Romanian Geology and Palaeontology, to attend the Fifteenth Romanian Symposium of Palaeontology, which will be held from the 10th to the 14th of September, 2025.
The main purpose of the meetings of the Romanian Society of Palaeontologists (RSP) is to reunite various scientists working in the field of Palaeontology and other related research areas
(Stratigraphy, Sedimentology, Palaeobiogeography, Palaeoecology, Basin Analysis, Geoheritage, and Geoconservation). These meetings represent an excellent opportunity for geoscientists to share their results, research experiences, and to exchange valuable ideas and
concepts. In recent years, the biennial meetings of the RSP have attracted worldwide participation, thus giving an international character to these scientific reunions.

VENUE
The 15th Romanian Symposium of Palaeontology will be held at the Department of Geology ofthe Babeș-Bolyai University, Mihail Kogălniceanu street, no. 1, Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
The BabeÈ™-Bolyai University was founded in 1581 as Academia Claudiopolitana and during its history it underwent various changes and reorganizations, acquiring its current name by combining the Bolyai University (founded in 1945) and the Victor BabeÈ™ University (founded in 1919). It currently represents the largest Romanian university and it offers a great variety of study programmes, actively contributing to the development of the Romanian society by combining education, science and culture. Geology in general, and Paleontology, in particular have represented two branches of the Natural Sciences that continuously developed as an important direction of research and education at this university.

Symposium dinner - The Symposium Dinner will be held on Friday, 12th September 2025.

KEY DATES
• 15th March 2025 – distribution of the Second Circular.
• 1st of June 2025– deadline for abstract submission (talks and posters). Details will be given in the Second Circular.
• 15th June 2025 – early bird registration and field trips registration deadline.
• 1st of August 2025 – acceptance of abstracts. The submissions (talks and posters) will be included in the symposium program and the accepted abstracts will be considered for
publication after the payment of the registration fee.
• 15th August 2025 – regular registration deadline.
