Saturday, RRR will be riding as part of one of the biggest and most moving events in the biking calendar – Ride to the Wall. Every year, tens of thousands of bikers come together in unity to ride to the National Memorial Arboretum, paying tribute to our fallen servicemen and women.
It’s a day steeped in respect, reflection, and history. Standing side by side with thousands of other bikers, listening to the service, and seeing the endless lines of bikes stretching as far as the eye can see is something that has to be experienced to be believed. This isn’t just another ride – it’s a moment of remembrance, honour and solidarity. It’s one that will stay with you long after the engines fall silent.
📍 Meet: The Little B, Sale
⏰ Time: 8:00 am meet – 8:30 am sharp set-off
➡️ Route: We’ll ride down to Knutsford Services (Southbound) to join Route 5. The official ride leaves Knutsford at 9:50 am, which gives us a full hour beforehand to take in the atmosphere and sights of tens of thousands of bikes gathering together in one place.

What you need to know:
A £10 donation is required to take part – this goes directly to supporting the National Memorial Arboretum.
Make sure your bike is fuelled, checked over and ready to roll.
Dress for the conditions – October weather can be unpredictable.
This is a respectful, steady-paced ride. It’s about riding together as one, not rushing.

For first-timers:
Be prepared – it will be busy. With so many riders heading in, there’s a lot of waiting, shuffling forward and riding in formation. Patience is key.
Once at the Arboretum, there’s a short service with readings, the laying of wreaths, and the act of remembrance. It’s a powerful and emotional part of the day.
Take your time to walk the grounds. Seeing the memorial up close is a humbling experience, and the sheer scale of it can be overwhelming.
Facilities and food will be stretched, so plan ahead and bring anything you might need for comfort.
