οΏ½οΏ½ Volunteers Needed β Fruit Harvesting for Food Support οΏ½οΏ½Wai Ora Trust is looking for volunteers to help harvest pears, plums, and some nectarines from our community orchard over the next two Tuesdays.
οΏ½ Purpose of this mahi:
The harvested fruit will be:
β’ stored safely in our fridge
β’ distributed through the food bank to support the community
β’ used in an upcoming jam-making workshop to reduce food waste
οΏ½ When:
20th January
27th January
οΏ½ Time:
from 9 am- flexible finish time you can work 1, 2 or more hours. Any help is welcom
οΏ½ Where:
48 Watsons RD Harewood Wai Ora Trust, Christchurch Gate 1
οΏ½ What to bring:
β’ closed shoes
β’ water bottle
β’ sun protection
All tools and high-vis vests will be provided. No experience is needed β just a willingness to help turn surplus fruit into community support.
