❤️ This Valentine's Day, Show Some Love to Our Community Nursery! ❤️
Got plans this Saturday, February 14th? Swap the standard stuff for some meaningful dirt therapy! We’re calling for volunteer hands to help us with a major mission: clearing out the final dirt pile from our shared nursery space.
The Task: We need to move this soil to its new home where it will become part of a brand new hugelkultur pile (a fantastic no-dig gardening method that builds incredible soil fertility!).
Why This Matters: This cleanup is the final push to transform our shared nursery space (the collaborative home of Edible Streets, Climate Action Campus, and Canterbury Permaculture Institute).
Once finished, we’ll gain:
✅ More room for plant production!
✅ One streamlined, shared potting area with storage bins for pots.
✅ Large, dedicated storage bays for truck deliveries of potting mix.
✅ A centralised area with potting tables and sinks.
This will replace our current, inefficient setup of three separate potting areas and scattered storage. It’s a huge upgrade for our community growing power!

📅 Date: Saturday, February 14 (Valentine's Day)
🕘 Time: 10:00 AM start
📍 Meet at: The shared nursery space in tennis courts 35 cowlishaw st
🧤 Bring: Gloves, water bottle, sturdy shoes. We’ll provide tools, and lunch at 12pm
kid friendly and you can roll in and out based on your schedule you don't need stay whole time from 10am till 2pm
