🌿 We’re proud to announce the launch of the Columbus Bonsai Society Visiting Bonsai Artist Series—a new educational initiative made possible through a generous grant from the Greater Columbus Arts Council.
The purpose of this series is to bring outstanding bonsai artists, educators, and demonstrators to Central Ohio to educate, inspire, and introduce more people to the art of bonsai. Through hands-on workshops, demonstrations, critiques, and public programs, we hope to provide exceptional learning opportunities for beginners and experienced enthusiasts alike while growing appreciation for bonsai throughout our community.
We are honored to welcome Jason Parrish of Kawa No Oka Bonsai as the inaugural guest artist. This first event will focus on tropical bonsai, with a hands-on Bring Your Own Tree workshop in the morning followed by a live tropical bonsai demonstration in the afternoon. Topics include tropical species selection, seasonal care, styling, design, wiring, long-term development, and one-on-one guidance.
