About this Event

" Collective Black self-recovery begins to take place when we renew our relationship with the earth, when we remember the way of our ancestors. When the earth becomes sacred to us, our bodies can also become sacred" - bell hooks

Our history is rooted in reciprocal care with nature and plant-centered ways of being. A s we prioritize our own well-being, let us also be in community with nature.

Join Black Women In Nature as we kick off the Plant The Power VegFest with a grounding practice of meditation, reflective dialogue and a nature walk around Franklin Park Conservatory. After our gathering, we invite you to stay and attend the VegFest! This gathering is free and open to the public!
