WHAT HAPPENS AT A MEDITATION DAY RETREAT?
We take a pause, slow down and with kind curiosity turn towards ourselves and our experience and so the exploration begins…
• There will be various types of guided non-dual, somatic and mindfulness based meditation in the form of sitting and walking meditation.
• Interspersed are some partner and group relational exercises, the occasional poem and a space for Q & A and dialoguing.
• Each retreat has a specific theme with the meditations and relational exercises relating to the theme.
• We’ll have a buffet lunch together, with everyone invited to bring a little something along to share with the group.

THE THEME...
‘A Day Of Deep Rest’
This is an opportunity to slow down, pause and take a break from life’s day to day busyness and also from the trajectory of doing, trying, fixing, changing, controlling, seeking and all the associated efforting.
As we stop and pause there becomes a natural movement of sinking into just being ourselves, exactly as we are right now.
Paradoxically as we meet ourselves in this way it provides the healing, nourishment, deep rest, peace and contentment that we were looking for all along.
There will be embodied and non-dual meditation, group and partner relational exercises and the day will come to a close with Paul Duffy leading a Sound Bath with Tibetan and crystal bowls, hand pan, gong and chimes.

The curious ones, the inner-explorers, those who are sincere and keen to engage in meditation, self-enquiry and inner work.
It matters not whether you are new to meditation it is the attitude and willingness to explore your experience that is of most value.
Chairs are available to sit on. If you wish to sit on the floor please bring along a Yoga mat and cushion.

ABOUT YOUR HOST
Hi, I’m David… I‘ve been meditating since the mid 1990's and my career as a facilitator started almost forty years ago, initially in sport and fitness and now for the last eleven years in wellbeing, supporting individuals, hosting groups and retreats in the U.K., India, Nepal, Thailand and Online.
My training in the therapeutic world has been extensive studying both Eastern and Western traditions however, I feel it is through finding peace in the most difficult times of my life that enables me to reach and support others the most.
I am a regular speaker at wellbeing events and a teacher and mentor on Spiritual Counselling and Psychotherapy diploma courses where I offer Mindfulness and Non-Duality.
As a writer I have contributed to articles for Insight Timer and The Health Of India magazine and in 2022 I published my first book of mindful poetry ‘Finding Peace In The Very Heart Of Life’.
For a number of years I would spend the English winters in India immersing myself in meditation, contemplation and Satsang, exploring the non-dual essence of reality with various modern day mystics and sages.
