YPJC Rafting Adventure
About this Event
Trade your business casual for a life jacket and join us for an afternoon on the river! There's no better way to experience one of Northeast Tennessee's greatest assets than spending it outside with fellow YPs.
We'll kick things off with a guided rafting trip down the Watauga River with our friends at Wahoo Adventures. This is their family-friendly float, making it perfect for first-time rafters and anyone looking for a fun afternoon on the water. Each raft will have a professional guide, and the trip lasts approximately 90 minutes.
After we make it back to shore, stick around for a laid-back riverside picnic with snacks, music, and plenty of time to relax and connect. Feel free to bring your favorite beverage and a camp chair or blanket. You're welcome to stay for the picnic or head out after the rafting trip.
We'll meet and park at Wahoo Adventures in Elizabethton (105 John Sheffield Private Dr), where their shuttle will take us upriver before we paddle back to the starting point.
The bus departs promptly at 3:00 p.m., so please arrive no later than 2:45 p.m. Late arrivals may miss the shuttle.
All rafting equipment is provided, and participants will be required to sign a safety waiver before the trip.
Thanks to our partnership with Wahoo Adventures, YPJC members can enjoy this experience for just $20 per person.
Non-member guests of any age are welcome at the regular rate of $75 and must be accompanied by a YPJC member.
Children ages 3 and up are welcome with the purchase of a $50 child ticket.
Space is limited, and all attendees must have a ticket. This event will take place rain or shine. If weather conditions make rafting unsafe, the trip will be canceled and tickets will be refunded. Refunds cannot be issued for other reasons.
