Youth Hero Awards and Race Amity Day

Race Amity Day in Amherst is an annual observance celebrating interracial friendship and the oneness of the human family. Established in 2015, Amherst was the first town in Massachusetts to formally recognize this internationally celebrated holiday.
This event is sponsored by the Town of Amherst Human Rights Commission, Amherst Department of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, CRESS Department, Amherst League of Women Voters, and the Amherst Baha'i Community.
