Young Professionals Summer Swim & Picnic at Hampstead Heath
About this Event
The Danish-UK Association’s Young Professionals have planned a summer swim and picnic at Hampstead Heath. This event is open to all YP members and is simply a chance for Danes and friends of Denmark in London to meet, socialise, and enjoy a summer afternoon together.
Even if you’re not Danish, you’re more than welcome to come and join us!
The plan is to meet at 11:15am at Gospel Oak Station, where we’ll walk over together to the Hampstead Heath Mixed Pond. For those who would like to swim, we’ll have a one-hour session at one of London’s most iconic outdoor swimming spots.
Things to bring:
- Swimwear
- Towels
- Sunscreen (if needed)
- Food for the picnic (to share)
- Your drink of choice
- Blankets (if you want to sit down)
Important:
Please note that swimming tickets must be booked individually through City of London, Hampstead Heath. Tickets become available seven days before the event (from 5 July) and can sell out quickly, so we recommend booking as early as possible. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee availability for those who do not secure a ticket in advance.
Afterwards, we’ll find a spot on the Heath for a relaxed picnic from around 1:30pm. Feel free to bring your own food, drinks, and anything else you’d like for an afternoon in the park.
The picnic itself is free to attend, and those who are unable to get a swimming ticket are still very welcome to join us afterwards. Likewise, if you’d like to come for the swim only, you’re very welcome.
To help us get an idea of numbers, we’d appreciate it if you could register in advance.
For any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
