Young Makers: Jewelry Metalsmithing Summer Camp (Ages 13-17)

Give your teen the chance to get hands-on with jewelry making in a fun, safe, creative environment! Students will learn foundational skills in metalsmithing through guided instruction and independent practice.

Techniques covered include:

• Sawing – Shape metal with precision
• Filing & Forming – Refine and sculpt designs
• Texturing – Create unique surface patterns
• Soldering – Join metal elements securely
• Finishing – Polish and complete each piece

Each student will leave with handmade jewelry and a strong foundation in essential techniques.

Amber Romero is a professional jeweler with over 22 years of experience. She leads the Chimera Arts jewelry studio and has taught both youth and adults in a welcoming, hands-on environment that builds confidence and creativity.
