About this Event
A week of daily sessions, 9AM to noon. Projects will include making rockets, 3D printed motors, and robotic solar ovens. We will have guest instructors from industry and academia, including Sonoma State and Medtronic.
Suggested age range: 9 to 12 years old
The camp is five three hour sessions, Monday through Friday. 9AM to 12PM. Limit of 12 attendees.
Instructors
Milo Mitchel graduated from Lewis and Clark College with a degree in sociology and anthropology. He started a landscaping design business in 2004. After a five year stint as a farmer for schools and restaurants, Milo taught high school science at Orchard View School for eight years and has been teaching science at Gravenstein Elementary since 2022. He is the co-founder of the Mind of a Scientist program, as well as the 3D Printed Electric Motor Design Project. https://milomitchel.com/
Joe Szuecs (pronounced SOOCH) is a software developer, maker and musician. He taught Programming for Kids at the Sebastopol Public Library, is the President of the Board of Chimera Arts and the founder of the Maker Music Festival - a virtual festival celebrating the makers of unusual instruments.
Refund/Cancellation Policy: Attendees must register for classes or request cancellations/refunds 72 hours in advance.(Some classes may require more time.) Eventbrite fees will be charged to the attendee. No walk-ins.
