SOUND BATH MEDITATION
CBJ Respite Room
A Sound Bath is a "meditative experience” for people of all ages and inclinations. Many congregations offer them as an aid to the sacred work of introspection undertaken in preparation for and during the High Holidays. Participants are invited to allow carefully orchestrated sound waves to "wash over” them. Since the sounds have no melody, rhythms, or lyrics the mind is able to relax. Many experience a release of stress, a sense of calmness, a deeper state of consciousness, and ability to be attentive to “the small still voice within”.
