We will celebrate as it’s done in Israel, with traditional Israeli food, music, dance and festivities that will be fun for all!6:30-7:15pm – Israeli Vegetarian Dinner

7:30-9:00pm – Musical Performance – 100 Years of Song and Poetry
Parents and students: While the musical performance is certainly appropriate for all ages, there will be teen activities and childcare offered from 7:15-9:00pm.
Musical Performance – 100 Years of Song and Poetry
The highlight of the evening will be a musical performance Berklee School of Music’s Tal Shalom-Kobi and an ensemble of Israeli students. They will perform the 100 Years of Song and Poetry, a musical/storytelling concert featuring the works of its most cherished and popular women songwriters and poets of the past century in Israel.
The ensemble will share stories and anecdotes about the lives of poets Leah Goldberg and Rachel, song writers Naomi Shemer, Nurit Hirsh and many others. With new arrangements and fresh interpretations, this will be a unique music experience, which will take you on a tour through a lens of history to present day. The ensemble was founded in 2015 and is led by Tal Shalom-Kobi, a Berklee College of Music professor and a long-time researcher/performer.

Registration
The event, including dinner, is free and requires advance registration.
Please note that the evening will also be livestreamed (not on Zoom) on Beth El’s website. Watching the livestream doesn’t require registration.
