The Sacred Pause: An Anusara Yoga Training
With internationally renowned educators Christina Sell and Noah Maze
In a culture shaped by speed, constant stimulation, and unrelenting demands on our attention, the practice of yoga offers a powerful counterpoint: the capacity to pause, listen, and act from clarity rather than urgency. The Sacred Pause is a 16-hour Anusara Yoga training designed for yoga teachers and dedicated practitioners who wish to deepen their relationship to practice through a more refined, sustainable, and intelligent approach to movement and awareness.
Rooted in the rich philosophical foundations of Anusara Yoga and informed by contemporary movement science, this immersive training explores yoga as a living inquiry into alignment, attention, and conscious choice. Rather than emphasizing performance or external achievement, participants are invited to cultivate a more skillful and responsive relationship with the body—one that honors both the wisdom of tradition and the needs of modern practitioners.
Through thoughtfully sequenced asana practice, functional movement exploration, contemplative reflection, partner work, and guided dialogue, participants will engage deeply with the Universal Principles of Alignment™ as a dynamic framework for functional mobility, adaptive strength, and long-term joint health. The emphasis throughout the training is on cultivating the capacity to pause within movement: to refine effort, listen more sensitively to sensation, regulate the nervous system, and support longevity in practice and teaching.
A central focus of the training is learning how the sacred pause—a moment of conscious awareness within action—can transform the way we move, teach, and live. When practitioners develop the capacity to pause and perceive clearly, they can make wiser choices in real time. Movement becomes more efficient, practice becomes more sustainable, and teaching becomes more responsive and attuned.
Guided by two of the most respected voices in contemporary yoga education, this training offers a rare opportunity to study with master teachers whose work has influenced thousands of practitioners and teachers worldwide. Together, Christina Sell and Noah Maze bring decades of experience, blending deep philosophical insight with sophisticated understanding of biomechanics, alignment, and functional movement.

The Sacred Pause is both a practical training and a deeper invitation—to slow down, perceive more clearly, and rediscover yoga as an embodied path of integration.
