About this Event
The CRB is hosting a lunchtime conversation with Andy Hoffman, award-winning Holcim (US) Professor of Sustainable Enterprise at the University of Michigan at both the Stephen M. Ross School of Business and the School for Environment & Sustainability. Professor Hoffman's research uses organizational behavior models and theories to unpack the cultural and institutional aspects of environmental issues for organizations. Authoring over one-hundred articles/book chapters and nineteen books, the most recent being Business School and the Noble Purpose of the Market: Correcting the Systemic Failures of Shareholder Capitalism, his work centers on themes including:
- Institutional Theory, Change and Power
- Market and Business Implications of Sustainability
- Resistance to Climate Science
- The Social Implications of the Anthropocene
- Academic Engagement in Public and Political Discourse
- Reinvigorating the Training of Future Business Leaders
This event is open to the UC Berkeley community. Refreshments will be provided.
